Sealed by the life of Christ; given the Spirit as the down payment of our full inheritance.
2 Corinthians 1:22 ‘Who has also sealed us, and given the down payment of the Spirit in our hearts.’
The Holy Spirit is given to us as the down payment
of our full inheritance in Christ.
He is our guarantee right now
that what God has promised He will fulfil.
We are sealed by the life of Christ in us.
We are a new creation in Christ;
set apart from the world by a completely different nature.
We do not follow a religion; we have a living faith.
The seal of the life of Christ in us is known
by our love for Christ; for His word; and for one another.
The down payment of the Holy Spirit
will be seen by our firm confidence in His word.
