Jesus Christ alone is our propitiation.
Romans 3:25 ‘Whom God has set forth to be a propitiation through faith in His blood,’
Everything God does must be righteous and just.
He cannot deny His own nature.
Forgiveness of sin must be both just and right.
In Christ there is forgiveness because His sacrifice satisfies
the righteous demands of the holiness of God on our behalf.
In Christ there is reconciliation with God because
He took upon Himself the wrath of God towards sin.
By faith in His sacrifice our sinful condition is crucified with Christ
and we are raised with Christ to newness of life.
Jesus Christ alone is our propitiation.
He alone was worthy to become sin on our behalf
so that we can be righteous in Him.
