Our first priority should be to let Jesus Christ be seen in us.
Luke 6:36 ‘Therefore be merciful, as your Father also is merciful.’
The world needs to see the character of the Father in His people.
If we hold bitterness, resentment, and anger in our heart
then it will be seen that we are no different from the world.
Our first priority should be to let Jesus Christ be evident in us.
Showing mercy means more than forgiveness.
It means having compassion on others;
recognising their need of a Saviour;
and letting the Holy Spirit reach out to them through us.
When the fruit of the Spirit is in control then we will attract people to Jesus.
When we show love towards those around us;
and forgiveness towards those who wrong us;
then our life will reflect who Jesus is.
