December 3
We give thanks because Christ lives in us.
Ephesians 5:20 ‘Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;’
When we give thanks to the Lord then we focus our attention
upon the goodness of God and all He has done for us.
Our thoughts are turned away from things that concern our own interests,
and we see the hand of God at work in our life.
Giving thanks to the Lord brings joy
as we trust in the promises of God and not in our own resources.
No matter how difficult the circumstances
or how fierce the opposition,
in Christ we have every reason to give thanks.
We give thanks because Christ lives in us
and everything we do is to be for His glory.
