Mary knew that her need of a Saviour was met in Christ alone.
Luke 1:47 ‘And my spirit has rejoiced in God my Saviour.’
Mary recognised her need of a Saviour.
Her trust was in Christ alone for salvation.
Her joy was in the Lord.
Her spirit rejoiced because the hope of her salvation had come.
She was blessed because she carried the blessing of God in her womb.
She was the one chosen to bring the gift of God into the world.
She trusted in Him and all who trust in Him find life;
Jesus is eternal life.
Mary knew she was chosen to bring the Messiah into the world
and her need of a Saviour was met in Christ alone and none other.
All who put their faith in Christ alone
experience the same joy in God their Saviour.
