Purity is the life of Christ in us being given control of our life.
1 Corinthians 6:20 'For you are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.'
We were bought at great cost.
We belong to the Lord.
When Christ is our life
then our body is the temple where His Spirit dwells;
our mind is the holy place where Christ alone must reign as King;
and our life is the offering that glorifies the Lord.
It is because we are His people
we cannot live according to the standards of the world.
Purity is not a legal demand;
it is the life of Christ in us being given control of our life
so that the fruit of His Spirit
becomes our offering of thanksgiving,
joyfully presented to the One we love.
