The law guides; Christ justifies
Galatians 3:24 ‘Therefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.’
The word schoolmaster means someone who guides a child.
The law could only guide but it also condemned.
In Christ the law cannot condemn us;
the power of sin cannot hold us; and
the promises of God surround us.
