The One who is altogether lovely became the object of the wrath of God.
2 Corinthians 5:21 ‘For He has made Him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.’
Jesus, the eternal Son of God became sin for us.
The One who is altogether lovely became the object of the wrath of God
so that we can be the objects of His love.
All that we are is in Christ.
We are reconciled by His blood;
covered in His righteousness;
and all His promises are our inheritance in Him.
Our sin is crucified and buried with Him.
We are free from condemnation;
separated from guilt; reconciled to God; and made righteous in Him.
He unites us with His life; fills us with His Spirit;
and makes us completely new.
