It is the preaching of the cross that brings us into new life.
1 John 5:12 ‘He that has the Son has life; and he that has not the Son of God has not life.’
The purpose of scripture is to bring us into union with Christ;
He is eternal life.
It is not enough to agree with scripture
or to believe that Jesus is the Son of God.
It is the preaching of the cross that brings us into new life.
The cross was God’s answer on our behalf for sin; judgment; and death.
When Jesus rose again He broke through every barrier
that separated us from life itself.
It is faith in Christ alone that brings us into new life
and this new life is born in us through the power of the Holy Spirit.
It is the gift of God; undeserved and freely given.
