Keeping guard on our thoughts.
1 Peter 1:13 ‘Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;’
We need to guard our thoughts
from following after the desires of the flesh.
The carnal mind will always seek to lead our thoughts away
from holiness; prayer; and the love of Christ.
Our thoughts will be righteous
when we keep His word in our heart;
our thoughts will be pure
when the fruit of the Spirit is produced in us;
our thoughts will be centred upon Jesus
when we love Him and desire to please Him.
When our thoughts are pleasing to the Lord
then our life will be yielded to His service.
