Life and godliness.
2 Peter 1:3 'According as His divine power has given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who has called us to glory and virtue:'
Godliness is the outworking of the life of Christ in us.
It refers to a life that is godly in character.
It is never legalistic
nor does it ever wear the clothing of religion.
It is the freedom of new life in Christ;
it is a life that worships through our everyday life;
it is a heart filled with the love of Christ
reaching out to a world that needs Jesus.
We cannot live a godly life in our own strength.
Jesus came for this purpose so that His life can be in us.
