The responsibility of new life.
Philippians 2:12 ‘Wherefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.’
Salvation is the gift of God through faith in Jesus Christ.
When we have new life in Christ
then it is our responsibility to grow in new life
by feeding upon the word of God.
We learn to put on Christ in our daily life
as His word fills our heart and mind.
We become strong in faith
as His promises become embedded within our character.
We do not try to live the Christian life;
salvation is not our work, it is His work in us.
The freedom of new life is our possession in Christ.
