Isaac Sharp and Asbjorn Kloster in the Faroe Islands (April – June 1862)
Journal of Isaac Sharp - May 21, 1862
Friends assembling in London to-day, for the first sitting of the Yearly Meeting, were in frequent remembrance.
Funningur
At the hour of ten, about thirty-seven
persons, responding to the invitation, assembled in the Funding (Funningur)
fish-store. They were seriously attentive: the kirkevegr,
at whose house we lodged, was present, and spoke
pleasantly to Asbjorn Kloster afterwards respecting the meeting.
Elduvik
At Eidevig (Elduvik), whither we next went, about sixty-two came together on a short notice; and at half-past six in the evening, a meeting was held in a large upper-room at the house of Clement Hogneson, by whom and his wife we were very kindly cared for.
