Matthew 16:24

"Then said Jesus unto His disciples, If any man will come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me."

Giving the throne of our life to the Lordship of Christ.

Denying self has nothing to do with acts of self-denial;

it is giving the throne of our life to the Lordship of Christ.

When self sits enthroned in our life,

the works of the flesh have control over our life;

when Jesus Christ is Lord of our life,

the Holy Spirit produces the fruit of holiness in our life.

We do not try to deny self by our works; we walk in new life.

Denying self is glorious because the love of Christ fills our life.

The cross is not difficult to bear

because there is wonderful joy in serving Jesus.
