Galatians 1:4

"Who gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us from this present evil world,"

— Galatians 1:4

Jesus delivers us from the power of self.

Jesus takes away the fear of condemnation we justly deserve;

and puts in us the peace of justification by faith in Christ alone.

He sets us free from the hypocrisy of self-righteous religion,

and leads us into the freedom of new life in Christ.

He brings us out from the bondage of fleshly works;

and lets the fruit of His Spirit produce the character of Jesus in us.

He lifts us from being enemies of God;

to place us in the royal household

so we approach God as our Abba Father.

He removes a heart that gratifies itself;

and He puts in us a heart that loves with His love.
