Godliness is a lifestyle.
"Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present age;"
The Christian life cannot conform to the standards of the world.
If we love Christ then we will love His word.
Ungodliness puts self-interest on the throne of our life.
Worldly lusts seek fulfilment in self-gratification.
Living soberly means to guard our heart and mind,
not following the philosophy of the world
but being guided by scripture and led by the Holy Spirit.
Living righteously means to do what is right
allowing truth to lead us in righteousness.
Living godly means to serve the Lord
by obedience to His word and love for Christ.
Our life will reveal our worship;
true worship is a lifestyle of godliness.
