2 Timothy 3:5
"Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away."
The outward appearance of religion
has nothing to do with the power of the gospel.
We can spend our life in church
and never experience the power of God.
Jesus did not come to make us religious.
He came so that we might have life.
When we receive new life in Jesus we know through experience
that the gospel of Christ is the power of God.
The word of God is living and powerful;
the gospel is the power of God unto salvation;
the kingdom of God is not mere words but its power.
New life in Jesus is evident
by the power of His resurrected life working in us.
