"Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Spirit;"
Good works cannot remove a sinful nature.
Faith alone unites us with His finished work.
He took our guilt and condemnation, nailing it to His cross;
it is crucified and buried with Christ.
He arose for us; He unites us with His life.
Our sin is cleansed by His blood;
we are washed and made completely new.
We may fail the Lord but He will never fail us.
We are renewed daily by His Spirit as we grow in new life.
He renews our mind by His word,
separating us from the world and leading us in righteousness.
