"And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word,"

The most precious gift we can receive is new life in Christ.

The most precious gift we can receive is new life in Jesus.

We need to treasure the moving of the Holy Spirit upon our heart.

Only the Holy Spirit can produce new life.

He alone can make the joy of salvation our experience.

The reasoning of the world

will move our heart away from the gospel of Christ.

If we choose to follow the world;

to seek what it can give;

and to desire its pleasures;

then theology can fill our mind

but Christ will never fill our heart.

The seed of the gospel is worth more than everything the world has to offer.
