Jesus came for this purpose to give us a new heart

that loves what He loves;

desires what He desires;

delights in His will;

walks in His ways;

and obeys His commands.

Religion tries to change the heart;

to cleanse the old life; to better itself.

Jesus does away with all of that.

He does not make us better; He makes all things new.

He puts a new heart within us.

He makes us a new creation; born of His Spirit; created in His image.

We are free to be the children of the living God;

righteous because He is righteous;

holy because He is holy;

pure because He is pure.
