Freedom in Christ puts the welfare of others above self-interest.
"All things are lawful to me, but all things are not profitable:"
The freedom we have in Christ
is the freedom to serve the Lord
with a heart that is filled with His love;
to follow after His righteousness;
to put on the Lord Jesus Christ;
to walk in obedience to His word;
to let His love control everything we say and do;
and to be sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit.
We are not free to please ourselves;
we have responsibility as the disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Freedom puts the welfare of others above self-interest;
sets boundaries so our freedom does not lead others astray;
and it considers the effect our behaviour will have
upon those who follow our example.
