Ephesians

The shield of faith.

Ephesians 6:16 ‘Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith you shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.’

The attacks of the enemy come in different ways.

It can come through words that are spoken against us;

persecutions;

or trials that make it difficult to go on;

The shield we take up is our faith in Christ.

His word is our strong defense;

it enables us to lay hold of the promises He has given us;

and to trust in all that He has done for us;
