Ephesians
An ambassador in chains.
Ephesians 6:20 ‘For which I am an ambassador in chains: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.’
In prison Paul called himself ‘an ambassador in chains’.
He had a purpose to fulfil.
He trusted the Lord to lead him the right way.
Persecution; hardship; isolation could not distract him.
He sought always to represent Christ.
Prison opened doors of opportunity for the gospel to be heard.
He did not pray for freedom;
he asked for prayer that he would speak with boldness.
