Freedom from trying to obey a law we could not keep to the freedom of having new life.
Galatians 5:1 ‘Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ has made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.’
When Christ is our life then we do not try to be free;
we stand fast in the freedom we have in Christ.
It is not the freedom to sin; it is the freedom to be holy.
It is freedom from trying to obey a law we could not keep
to the freedom of having new life and producing the fruit of the Spirit.
It is the freedom of His word abiding in us;
the freedom of living by His promises.
It is the freedom of being controlled by the love of Christ;
the freedom of being sons and daughters of the living God.
