1 John 5:21 '...keep yourselves from idols. Amen.’

The idols of the world offer relieve from hardship;

pleasure in place of seriousness;

and a sense of pride in being self sufficient.

We need to remind ourselves of who we are in Christ;

we are His children.

He gives us joy even in hard times;

and love so that we can lift those who are down.
