It is the life of Christ in us who overcomes.
1 John 5:4 ‘For whatsoever is born of God overcomes the world: and this is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith.’
It is the life of Christ in us who overcomes; not our efforts.
Faith rests in His work not ours;
trusts in His word not our abilities;
and walks in His ways not seeking self advantage.
His power works in us giving us strength to do His will.
His word makes us steadfast so we can stand in every trial.
The freedom of new life in Christ gives us power
to overcome the foolish desires of a selfish life.
His promises are our security.
He fills us with His love, His peace, and His joy
setting us free from the despair of the world.
