Philippians 2:3 'Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory;'

If we are motivated by selfish ambition; personal gain;

or by the need for status and respect

then we will be no different from the world.

In Christ we are free to have a completely

different perspective from the world.

We have no need to elevate ourselves

because Christ is our life.

We do not need to seek the riches of the world

because Christ is our provision.

We do not need the praise and admiration of the world

because Christ is our inheritance.

We have no need to push others down in a competitive world

because Christ has lifted us.

He fills us with His love

so that we can be His people in a self-seeking world.
