The word of life.

Philippians 2:16
"Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain."
It is the word of life because we have life through faith in Jesus Christ.
It is necessary to uphold His word
because there is no salvation outside of the gospel of Christ.
When Christ is our life then we will love His word.
If we desire to grow in Christ and to walk in the freedom of new life
then we must diligently study His word.
When we meditate on His word it will equip us in our daily life.
When we trust in His word then His promises are our possession.
His word will minister life to us.
