Hebrews 11:13

"These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth."

— Hebrews 11:13

They saw the promises afar off; we enter into new life.

They lived by faith; they died in faith.

They were thoroughly convinced by the promises

because they trusted the One who gave the promises.

They held the promises of God closely.

They confessed who they were; a people separated from the world.

We enter into new life through faith in Christ.

We know His promises are true

because we have received the down payment of the Holy Spirit.

We embrace the Lord; we are united with Christ.

We confess that Jesus Christ is Lord;

in Him we are more than conquerors.
