Put off the old, put on the new.
1 Peter 2:1 ‘Therefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speaking,’
When Christ is our life we must choose to walk in the new life He gives.
It is necessary to put off the old in order to put on the new.
If we seek revenge, we cannot put on the love of Christ.
If we retain bitterness, we cannot put on forgiveness.
Freedom in Christ is the freedom to live above criticism;
to love those who have done us wrong;
and to lay aside the need to defend ourselves.
It is freedom to be the servant of the King;
to be part of the family of the God;
and to be the temple where the Spirit of God can dwell.
