New wine.
Luke 5:39 ‘No man also having drunk old wine straightway desires new: for he says, The old is better.’
The old can keep us from ever tasting the new.
Those who trust in the antiquity of religion
will never know the freedom of new life in Christ.
Those who have a love for doctrine but neglect their love for Christ
will never know the joy of being filled with new wine.
Those who trust in works and seek to earn forgiveness
will never experience the peace
that comes through faith in Christ alone.
The new wine is given to those
who trust in Jesus and no other;
who love Him above all other;
and desire Him more than any other.
