Common sense and love.
Romans 15:2 ‘Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification.’
The foundation of our faith is immovable.
Standards of righteousness cannot be lowered.
But common sense and love will guard us
from making non essentials into matters of dissension.
Pride never yields;
but the love of Christ is willing to yield
on all matters that do not challenge the foundation of our faith
or lower the standard of righteousness.
When the love of Christ motivates our actions
then we can yield on many issues;
there is wonderful freedom in Christ.
We grow in Christ
and we must be willing to let the life of Christ grow in others.
