His promise is certain; He will draw near to us.
James 4:8 ‘Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you.’
His promise is certain.
He will draw near to us,
not because of who we are, or how good we are,
or what we have done, or what we have not done,
but simply because we draw near to Him.
In Christ is everything our heart truly desires.
Peace, joy, love, contentment, and life itself
are not found in the world but they are found in Jesus Christ.
There is no lasting value in worldly possessions;
the glittering appearance of worldly success is an illusion;
and the pleasure of a sinful life
can never remove the emptiness of a life lost and without hope.
There is nothing that can compare with the joy of a heart
that is filled with the presence of the living God.
