Christ formed in us.
Galatians 4:19 ‘My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you,’
Christianity is described as a new birth.
It cannot be produced by works or sacraments;
it is faith alone that produces new life in Christ.
It is not what we do that makes us a Christian;
it is who we are in Christ.
If we try to live the Christian life by our own efforts we will fail.
But when Christ is formed in us
then we are brought into the freedom of new life.
