His love stood with us.
Romans 5:8 ‘But God commends his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.’
The word commends means ‘to stand together’.
Christ died for us because He loved us.
The love of God stood with us even when we were devoted to sin.
He loved us then, and His love will continue to stand with us forever.
