The character of God in us.
Ephesians 5:9 ‘(For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)’
The fruit of the Spirit is the expression of the character of God in us.
It will never sacrifice the goodness of God for the benefits of man.
It upholds what is right and just;
and only acts in accordance with truth.
It reaches out with love and mercy but never at the expense of godliness.
It shows compassion towards those who need Christ
but only for the glory of God.
It is transparent in its purity and has no defect whatsoever.
It is beautiful to behold and sweet in its taste.
The fruit of the Spirit is never deceitful.
It is firmly established upon truth.
