Crown of righteousness.
2 Timothy 4:8 ‘Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me on that day: and not to me only, but also to all who love His appearing.’
The crown that the Lord gives is not a crown worn as a decoration.
It is a crown of glory; the glory of His righteousness.
The righteousness of Christ shines in all who trust in Him.
The Lord is our judge and we are justified in Him.
We are not condemned because Christ died for us;
we are righteous because Christ lives in us.
When Jesus returns then the radiance of His glory will be seen in us.
His righteousness is our crown and glory.
