The fire of the gospel burned in their hearts.
Acts 8:4 ‘Therefore they that were scattered abroad went everywhere preaching the word.’
Persecution could not remove the excitement of the early church.
Jesus Christ was everything to them.
The fire of the gospel burned in their hearts.
They spoke about Jesus everywhere they went.
They did not seek possessions, comforts, or security
neither did they desire the praise and admiration of man.
They desired only to know and please the Lord;
to let His love be seen in them;
to be filled with His Spirit;
and to tell others about the good news of salvation in Jesus Christ.
We also need to be filled with the same excitement,
the same joy, the same love and the same Spirit
so others will be drawn to Christ through us.
