We are to be faithful because we are one body in Christ.
Titus 1:7 ‘For an overseer must be blameless, as the steward of God; not self-willed, not soon angry, not given to wine, no striker, not given to filthy lucre;’
A person who has the responsibility of leadership
should be an example to others of how to live the Christian life.
These are not the high standards of leadership;
they are the normal standard of the Christian life.
We all have the responsibility of stewards.
The way we live should be a declaration of the sincerity of our faith,
a demonstration of the power of the gospel working in us,
and an example of the love of Christ reaching out to others.
If we act like the world then the world will see our religion but not our Lord.
