We are called to remembrance.
Luke 22:19 ‘And He took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is My body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of Me.’
We remember all that Jesus Christ has done for us
because our faith is in Christ alone.
Conceit is replaced by thankfulness
because without Him we were lost and without hope;
pride is replaced by humility
because the Son of God gave Himself for us;
despondency is changed to joy
because we stand not in our righteousness but in the righteousness of Christ;
despair is turned to wonder
because of His great love towards us;
and the concerns of a self-centred life are removed
because we are one body in Christ.
