The purpose of the church is to be light in the world.
Revelation 2:1 ‘These things says He who holds the seven stars in His right hand, who walks in the midst of the seven golden lampstands;’
The church is the living body of Christ; it is not surrounded by walls.
The church is the people and not an institution.
It is Christ dwelling in the midst of His people.
The purpose of the church is to be light in the world.
The light of the gospel will be hid if we are side-tracked by other things.
Our need is to let Christ and His word shine in our lives.
Christ is the foundation of the church;
He is the life of the church;
He is the purpose of the church;
and He must be the desire of the church.
