The fear of the Lord is a righteous fear that draws us to Christ.
Revelation 15:4 ‘Who shall not fear You, O Lord, and glorify Your name? for You only are holy: for all nations shall come and worship before You; for Your judgments are made manifest.’
The fear of the Lord is a righteous fear that draws us to Christ.
It removes the glamour of sinful pleasures and reveals the ugliness of sin.
It stands in awe of the holiness of God
and desires His character to be seen in us.
It brings joy because the life of Christ dwells within His people.
It is with the love of Christ we are able to worship Him.
We put on Christ so our life reflects the beauty of His holiness;
and our life becomes a living sacrifice through which His glory shines.
