Peace that rests in Christ
2 Thessalonians 1:2 ‘Grace unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.’
We have peace with God because we are a new creation in Christ.
We have peace with one another because His love fills our heart and mind.
We have peace with ourselves because
His grace lifted us; His grace keeps us; and His grace leads us on.
The world cannot know this peace.
It is peace that rests in Christ;
trusts in His promises;
and depends upon His care and provision.
It will keep us from the anxieties and fears of the world.
When Christ is our life
then His peace is able to keep us from making wrong decisions.
It is our possession in Christ; we must put it on daily.
