The light of the gospel must shine through the scriptures.
2 Corinthians 3:15-16 'But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the veil is upon their heart. Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the veil shall be taken away.'
The light of the gospel will be blocked
if we put the law in the forefront.
The beautiful colours of the light of the gospel are only revealed
when we allow the light of the gospel
to shine through all the scriptures.
There is a gravitational pull of the Old Testament.
It seeks to pull us away from the freedom of new life in Christ
into a legalistic form of religion that can never produce righteousness.
When the light of the gospel shines in the scriptures
then freedom, joy, and peace can be found in Jesus Christ.
