The blood of Jesus does more than cover sin; it wipes it away completely.
Romans 3:28 ‘Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.’
A justified person is someone who is found to be free from all guilt.
God declares the sinner righteous on the basis of faith in Christ alone;
the death of Christ declares God to be just in doing so.
But justification is more than a declaration.
The blood of Jesus does more than cover sin;
it wipes it away completely.
We are made new in Him; a new creation.
It is our responsibility right now to consider ourselves dead to sin
because the old is gone, crucified with Christ.
We are justified because we have new life.
When Jesus returns even the memory of our sin will be taken away.
