Worship's Purpose in Ministry The church functions as worshipping witnesses to Jesus. Effective gospel proclamation depends on believers whose hearts overflow with the Holy Spirit's joy and whose singular focus is on gaining Christ. Transformation Through Worship Worshippers increasingly reflect Christ's nature through "love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and self control" (Galatians 5:22-23). The Spirit's fruit becomes essential for approaching God's presence.

Tender-Heartedness Worshippers guard against grieving the Spirit through hardness toward others or defensive theology that overshadows devotion to God. 6. Joy Characterizes Worship True worshippers maintain joy through trials, persecution, and suffering, recognizing each circumstance as an opportunity to express love for Christ.
