Jesus died so that His law could be written on our heart.
Romans 7:22 ‘For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:’
Jesus took our evil desires on the cross.
They are crucified and buried with Him.
In Christ we are set free from every evil thing.
The law could never do this.
Legalism delights in outward appearances
but leaves the inward man depraved.
Jesus died so that His law could be written on our heart.
It is not a law that seeks to quench evil desires;
it is a law that delights to put on Christ;
to walk in the freedom of new life;
and to love others with the love He has given us.
It is the joy of new life in Christ.
