The power of the gospel must be experienced.
Mark 12:24 ‘And Jesus answering said unto them, Do you not therefore err, because you do not know the scriptures, nor the power of God?’
The power of the gospel must be experienced;
we must enter into truth.
It is only by knowing Jesus personally
that we can know and understand scripture.
Theology alone cannot produce life.
If we glory in scripture rather than Christ;
or if we seek to gain prestige from the gospel
rather than desiring the power of God to work in our lives,
then we will be in danger of opposing the gospel we claim to represent,
and will stand in the way of those who would preach Christ.
All that we are is in Christ; He died for us; He lives in us.
