We trust not in idols but in the living God.
Acts 19:19 ‘Many of those also who used curious arts brought their books together, and burned them before all men:’
There is wonderful freedom, joy, and peace in knowing Jesus.
When we receive Christ, we are set free
from the hold of superstition and religious idolatry.
Union with Christ separates us from the world.
We are separated from its ways, its lusts, and from its foolish thinking.
We trust not in idols but in the living God.
It is necessary to put off the things that are contrary to His word
before we can put on Christ in our daily life.
He gives power to overcome temptation;
He provides strength to go through trials;
He gives assurance through His word so we can trust Him in all things.
