Being faithful and fruitful.
2 Peter 1:8 'For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that you shall neither be idle nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.'
The Christian life is to be characterised by
faithfulness and fruitfulness.
Faithfulness is the mark of discipleship;
fruitfulness is the evidence of new life in Christ.
A faithful person will be obedient to Christ and His word;
a fruitful person is known
by the love of Christ working in his or her life.
An idle person will be unfaithful in serving Christ;
an unfruitful person is not growing in Christ.
When Jesus returns faithfulness and fruitfulness
will be the most precious treasures
we can present back to the One who gave all for us.
